The Hallmarks of Labour Foundation (HLF), renowned for celebrating exemplary role models across Nigeria, Africa, and the Black World, has selected Emerita Professor Olufunmilayo Adebambo as the recipient of its prestigious award for Outstanding Contributions to Research, Innovation, and Value-Chain Development towards Food Security.
Emerita Professor Adebambo’s recognition stems from her stellar track record in pioneering research and innovations that have significantly impacted food security and agricultural development. Her remarkable achievements have distinguished her as a Great Nigerian Role Model.
The award presentation would take place during the Foundation’s 28th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Notably, Emerita Professor Adebambo holds the patent for the “FUNAAB Alpha” chickens, an improved indigenous breed developed to advance poultry farming in Nigeria.
