A 35-year-old blogger and social media writer, Ifeoma Nwafor, has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre after appearing before a Federal High Court in Lagos over the alleged cyberstalking of Mrs. Folashade Okoya, Managing Director of Eleganza Industrial City Limited.
Presiding over the matter, Justice Deinde Dipeolu granted the defendant bail in the sum of ₦3 million, alongside two sureties in like sum. However, the court ruled that she must remain an inmate at the correctional facility pending the perfection of her bail conditions.
Nwafor is facing a three-count charge brought by the state, bordering on criminal conspiracy and cyberstalking directed at the prominent businesswoman and wife of billionaire industrialist, Razaq Okoya. She pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The Charges and Allegations
According to police prosecutors, the defendant and others still at large allegedly conspired in June 2026 along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos to commit a felony.
The prosecution claimed that Nwafor acted with the intent to cause “annoyance, injury, fear, intimidation, enmity, and needless anxiety” to Mrs. Okoya. Court documents outline that the defendant allegedly utilized multiple social media handles—specifically @cutie_juis, @truestorieswithifeomafa, and @truestorieswithifeomafans—to publish materials described as “offensive, false, malicious, and calculated”.
Furthermore, the police alleged that Nwafor shared photographs of the Eleganza Managing Director alongside online statements specifically designed to invite “mockery, ridicule, gossip, suspicion, and scandal”.
The alleged offenses contravene Section 516 of the Criminal Code Act as well as Section 24 (2) (1) (a) and (b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act, 2015.
Next Steps in Trial
The legal proceedings are moving forward despite a public apology previously issued by the blogger following her initial arraignment.
Justice Dipeolu has adjourned the matter until November 8, 2026, for the commencement of the trial. Until then, Nwafor will remain at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre unless her legal team successfully meets the stipulated bail requirements.
