Telecommunications giant MTN Nigeria has confirmed a widespread network disruption affecting subscribers across Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory, and four other states: Oyo, Rivers, and Delta.
In a public advisory issued via its official X account, the company acknowledged that network challenges had rendered its voice, data, and digital services temporarily unavailable or unstable for users within the affected regions.
“Network Outage Alert! We’re experiencing network challenges in some parts of Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, FCT and Delta States and our services may be temporarily unavailable as a result,” the statement read.
While expressing regret over the disruptions, MTN assured subscribers that its technical teams are actively working to isolate the fault and restore full service connectivity as quickly as possible. However, the telecommunications provider has yet to pinpoint the exact root cause of the outage or provide a definite timeline for total service normalization.
