Ondo Governor Praises Tinubu’s Economic Reforms on Nigeria’s 65th Independence

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its impactful pro-masses reforms that have laid a solid foundation for Nigeria’s economic growth. Speaking at a Jumat Service in Akure to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary, Aiyedatiwa highlighted key achievements including stable foreign exchange rates, reduced petroleum product prices, enhanced rail and road infrastructure, and a reformed tax regime as evidence of Tinubu’s effective leadership.

The governor, represented by his deputy Olayide Adelami, praised the unity and peace Nigeria has maintained for 65 years, attributing it to divine grace. He also expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State for their support and urged continued prayers for the growth of both the state and the country. The service also featured a sermon by the Grand Imam of Akure Kingdom, Sheikh Abdulakeem Yayi Akorede, encouraging positivity and prayers for good governance.

Other dignitaries at the service included key government officials from Ondo State. The event marked the beginning of the state’s activities celebrating Nigeria’s independence.

This commendation aligns with widespread recognition of President Tinubu’s economic reforms since taking office, which have included removing fuel subsidies, unifying foreign exchange rates, boosting government revenue, and initiating infrastructural projects.
