It was celebration of culture and tradition as Alhaji Mukhtar Galadima was installed as the Wazirin Katsina-Ala, a commercial city in Kastina State.
During the installation, the serene town of Katsina Ala, Katsina State was lit agog on Saturday 14th December 2014, as residents of the beautiful town trooped out to celebrate the installation of a worthy son, Alhaji Mukhtar Galadima, who is a revered community leader and pacesetter.
The Wazirin Chietaincy title is a foremost and prestigious chieftaincy title to be bestowed on only a well deserved son of the town.
The best of the tradition and cultural heritage of the Katsina-Ala people was on display at the colourful event, to bestow noble recognition on Alhaji Galadima’s outstanding contributions to the development and growth of his immediate Katsina-Ala community, Katsina State, as well as his exceptional leadership qualities and sustained selfless service to humanity
Family, friends, colleagues, well wishers from all works of life, as well as members of SEC 43 of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), were all in attendance to witness and celebrate the new Wazirin Katsina Ala.
In a glowing tribute, Dr Oracle Nwala, mni who attended the pocassion, stated:
” I congratulate my brother, friend and coursemate, Alhaji Mukhtar Galadima and share in the joy of the Katsina-Ala people for giving honour to whom it’s due. As Mukhtar takes on this new role, I have no doubt that his reign will bring peace, progress and unity to the people of Katsina Ala, Ibi and indeed, the Hausa alike.
“On this auspicious occasion, we celebrate Mukhtar not only as the Wazirin Katsina Ala but also as a beacon of hope, a symbol of unity and a bridge-builder for communities.
May his reign be long, fruitful and filled with countless opportunities to uplift and inspire others”
Also Dr Oyedamola Diya, mni, in his congratulatory message descibed Alhaji Mukhtar Usman Galadima, mni, as ” an epitome of hardwork, generosity, and a selfless individual who is dedicated to public service and uplifting others”
“May God Almighty empower and grant you the wisdom to use your Hood Office in transforming the lives and fortunes of the Katsina-Ala people. My best wishes to you, now and always”
The elaborate conferment ceremony amid pomp and colour, was attended by dignitaries, community leaders, and well-wishers who variously underscore his dedication, wisdom, and selflessness which make him an exemplary leader and a true asset to the community, who is renowned to have earned the respect and admiration of the people, which inspired positive changes across board.
While attesting to the virtues of Alhaji Galadima, some senior traditional leaders express their delight in gathering to celebrate a remarkable individual who has made an indelible mark on the community, demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and compassion, while motivating countless individuals and organizations to work towards a common goal.
In the words of an elder, “through his tireless efforts, he has brought people together, fostered collaboration, and driven positive change.
“This man’s commitment to our community is unwavering, and his impact will be felt for generations to come. Our religious leaders also pray that this recognition serves as a testament to his remarkable achievements and inspire all to continue making a difference in our community.”
Traditional chieftaincy titles continue to play a significant role in modern society, particularly in Africa and other developing world where it continues to help preserve cultural heritage, customs, and traditions, community leadership conflict resolution as well as environmental conservation.
