​AWKA — In a major political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections, Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has formally announced that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its preferred presidential candidate.

​Addressing a massive crowd of party faithful, leaders, and supporters at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka during the official flag-off of the party’s 2027 campaign, Governor Soludo vowed to mobilize at least 50 percent of the state’s total votes for President Tinubu.

​Governor Soludo explained that APGA will not be fielding a presidential candidate for the upcoming polls, making the adoption of the incumbent president a continuation of the party’s historical political strategy.

He asserted that a robust 50% vote delivery in 2027 will place the region in a much stronger leveraging position.

​The campaign launch also served as a major milestone for APGA’s structural preparation for the upcoming cycle, featuring the formal presentation of flags to candidates.
