New Era for FUNAAB Zoo Park as Prof. Talabi Assumes Director Role

​ABEOKUTA — The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has announced the appointment of Professor Oladele Talabi as the new Director of the FUNAAB Zoo Park.

​According to an official release, the appointment—approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatunde Kehinde—spans a three-year tenure effective from October 20, 2026, to October 19, 2029. University authorities noted that the decision underscores Professor Talabi’s proven capacity for robust academic and administrative leadership.

​A distinguished scholar, Professor Talabi currently serves as a Senate Representative on the Governing Council of the institution. He also brings a wealth of institutional experience to his new desk, having previously served as the Director of the Institute of Human Resources Development (INHURD) at FUNAAB.

​Stakeholders within the university community anticipate that his leadership will significantly advance the multi-faceted roles of the Zoo Park.
