IBADAN – As the political atmosphere in Oyo State begins to gather steam ahead of the 2027 general elections, a leading contender for the Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency seat, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire, has declared that his political future remains secondary to the collective progress of the state.

​Addressing journalists in Ibadan on Friday, the renowned philanthropist and House of Representatives aspirant reaffirmed his “unbending loyalty” to Governor Seyi Makinde. Fagbenro-Bibire emphasized that while his sights are set on the National Assembly, his primary motivation is the welfare of his constituents—a goal he maintains will remain a priority regardless of the 2027 electoral outcome.

He expressed total confidence in the Governor’s leadership, signaling that he would abide by any party decision or executive direction regarding the 2027 ticket.

​“Whatever decision Governor Makinde takes concerning 2027 is fully acceptable to me. I trust his judgment, as it is always guided by the peace, unity, and stability of our state,” he added.

​Concluding his address, the philanthropist urged his supporters across the Ibadan Northwest and Southwest Federal Constituency to prioritize the stability of the Makinde administration over individual interests.
