The Federal Government has officially advanced the ongoing 2024/2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise, directing successful candidates to prepare for physical screening and document verification starting Monday, June 15, 2026.
The announcement follows the conclusion of the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) administered to applicants in November 2025.
In a statement released on Saturday evening in Abuja, the Secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), retired Major-General Abdulmalik Jibril, confirmed that the selection process has entered its most critical phase. The exercises cover massive manpower intakes for four key agencies under the Ministry of Interior:
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
- Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
- Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS)
- Federal Fire Service (FFS)
How to Check Shortlist Status and Next Steps
Applicants who participated in the November 2025 online assessments are instructed to visit the board’s official recruitment portal to verify their standing. The verification window opens on Monday, June 15, and closes on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Action Required: Shortlisted candidates must log in using the unique application number generated during their initial registration. Upon verification, successful applicants must immediately upload their academic credentials and select their preferred date and venue for the physical screening exercise.
The board warned that failure to follow the explicit instructions outlined on the portal within the stipulated timeframe could lead to automatic disqualification.
Strict Warning Against Recruitment Fraud
With thousands of young Nigerians expected to flood the portal, Major-General Jibril reiterated that the entire recruitment lifecycle remains completely free of charge.
He cautioned applicants against falling prey to syndicate job racketeers, extortionists, and phishing websites mimicking official government channels.
“No fee should be paid by applicants to any individual, agent, group, or organisation claiming to render assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation, document upload, access to screening venues, or final selection,” Jibril stated.
He urged the public to disregard unsolicited text messages or unauthorized links, emphasizing that all legitimate updates will exclusively be channelled through the official portal: [https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng](https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng).
The CDCFIB reaffirmed its stance on a fully transparent, credible, and merit-based selection system, ensuring federal character principles are strictly maintained through the final stages of the process.
