The “Notice of Intent to Sue,” dated April 11, accuses the Premier League giants of professional negligence, tactical incompetence, and inflicting significant emotional distress upon its global fanbase.
The complainant, Eric Kyama, addressed the legal notice to Arsenal’s Highbury House headquarters following the club’s recent disappointing performance against AFC Bournemouth. Kyama contends that the team’s display constituted a “fundamental breach of the implied contract” that exists between a football institution and those who support it financially and emotionally.
Allegations of Negligence and Tactical Failure
In the letter, which has since gone viral on social media, Kyama leveled specific criticisms at both the playing squad and manager Mikel Arteta. He alleged a “complete lack of industry” among the players, claiming they failed to demonstrate the urgency or commitment expected of professional athletes at the highest level.
