​President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to Vice President Kashim Shettima as he marks his diamond jubilee, describing him as an indispensable ally, a steadfast partner, and a patriot whose life is synonymous with selfless service to Nigeria.

​In a personal message commemorating the Vice President’s 60th birthday, President Tinubu joined family members, political associates, and well-wishers across the nation to celebrate a quintessential public servant. He noted that Shettima’s trajectory—from a distinguished career in the banking sector to the governance frontlines as Governor of Borno State, and subsequently as Vice President—has been defined by unwavering courage, exceptional diligence, and deep compassion for the ordinary citizen.

​Highlighting his contributions to the current administration, the President commended Shettima’s steadfast loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his dynamic leadership as Chairman of the National Economic Council (NEC). Under his purview, the NEC has successfully fostered robust economic coordination and synergy between the federal tier and sub-national governments.
