A Message of Gratitude
ValidViewNetwork gathered that veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has issued a heartfelt message of appreciation on behalf of the Taiwo Hassan Ogogo family, thanking fans, colleagues, government officials, and well-wishers for their support during Ogogo’s illness and after his passing.
Quadri, who was Ogogo’s closest friend for over four decades and was visibly devastated at his burial on Monday, August 24, 2026, shared the appreciation message on his official Facebook page.
A review of his social media activity indicates that similar appreciation posts have also been shared on his Instagram page.
“On behalf of myself and the entire Taiwo Hassan Ogogo family, I sincerely appreciate all our fans, both home and abroad; our Alfas, Pastors, Traditional Rulers, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers around the world for your immense love, prayers, concern, and support throughout Ogogo’s illness and following his transition to glory,” Quadri wrote.
Appreciation to Government and Political Leaders
Quadri expressed profound gratitude to the Federal Government of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for their support and for sending representatives to stand with the family during the difficult period.
“Our profound appreciation also goes to the Federal Ministry of Arts and Culture, the Lagos State Government, the incoming Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the Chief of Staff to the President, the Oyo State Government, and the Ogun State Government for their solidarity and support,” Quadri added.
A Special Thank You to Senator Yayi
In a special tribute, Quadri singled out Senator Olamilekan Mustapha Yayi, the incoming Governor of Ogun State, for exceptional support during Ogogo’s illness and after his passing.
“A very special appreciation goes to Senator Olamilekan Mustapha Yayi, the incoming Governor of Ogun State, for his exceptional support, concern, and efforts during Ogogo’s illness and even after his passing. May God Almighty reward you abundantly and grant you long life to enjoy the fruits of your labour,” Quadri wrote.
A Call for Unity Among Colleagues
ValidViewNetwork notes that Quadri used the opportunity to deliver a powerful message to his colleagues in the entertainment industry, urging them to let go of grudges and embrace reconciliation.
“To my beloved colleagues in the entertainment industry and beyond, let us learn from this moment. Whatever grudges, misunderstandings, or differences we may have with one another, let us find the courage to let them go. Let us forgive, reconcile, love, and appreciate one another while we are still alive,” Quadri urged.
“Life is truly short. The passing of our beloved colleague, Taiwo Hassan OGOGO, reminds us that beyond fame, wealth, success, and status, what truly matters is the impact we make and the lives we touch,” he added.
Ogogo’s Legacy Lives On
Quadri reflected on the legacy of his departed friend, describing him as a man who fulfilled the purpose for which God sent him.
“Ogogo has gone to rest, having fulfilled the purpose for which God sent him. His legacy, his contributions to the entertainment industry, and the memories he created will continue to live on,” Quadri wrote.
He concluded with a call to action for his colleagues:
“To all my beloved colleagues, let us return to our work, continue the journey, and move forward with love and unity. May God bless the work of our hands.”
