… Draws closer to fulfilment of goal
The Nimbe Adedipe Library of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta has received accolades for its compliance with standards which are in tandem with the yearnings of government towards repositioning the Nigerian University for global access and recognition.
ValidViewNetwork had earlier reported the commitment of the University Administration to set the Nimbe Adedipe Library at par with with great Libraries all over the world in terms of human and e- resources. The University under the leadership of its seventh substantive Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde and the Librarian of the University, Dr. Abayomi Owolabi appear to be leaving no stone unturned to achieve the set goal soon.
According to reports from the University, it received a commendation from a group of experts who were in the University for the purpose of accreditation.
“In a noteworthy demonstration of dedication to technological progress at the Nimbe Adedipe Library, the University Librarian, Dr. Abayomi Owolabi, and the entire Library team received a commendation from the team of Accreditation experts who recently concluded an accreditation exercise in the University, for their seamless integration and effective administration of electronic resources within the University Library.
During the Team’s recent accreditation visit, they were presented with a comprehensive overview of the diverse e-resources available at the Library, showcasing the University’s commitment to modernising its learning environment.
Dr. Owolabi and fellow Librarians actively engaged with the accrediting team, and demonstrated the utilisation of the University’s e-resources.
The interactive session during the accreditation was aimed at emphasising the Library’s dedication to staying at the forefront of educational technology, providing students and faculty with access to a wealth of digital materials and databases.
The accrediting team expressed complete satisfaction with the state of electronic resources within the Library. They lauded the staff for their tenacity and diligence in ensuring that the Library remains a hub for cutting-edge information and research tools.
The recognition of the University Librarian’s efforts underscores the University’s commitment to offering a robust and contemporary learning environment for its academic community.
