The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially scheduled the screening of aspirants for national offices ahead of its 2026 National Convention. The exercise is set to take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.
In a statement released on Sunday by the Secretary of the Aspirants’ Screening Committee, Isa Yuguda, the party directed all candidates who have purchased and submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to present themselves for the exercise. The proceedings are expected to commence at 9:00 am.
The committee emphasized that personal attendance is mandatory. Aspirants are required to bring all original supporting documents for physical verification by the panel. This screening serves as a critical clearance phase to ensure all candidates meet the party’s eligibility criteria before the elective convention.
The announcement comes amid a flurry of political activity within the ruling party, including the anticipated formal reception of the Zamfara State Governor into the APC fold this week.
