The Ondo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Olubunmi Osadahun, at the weekend was assaulted during the distribution of palliatives to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal by the government at Oke Agbe in Arigidi Akoko.
ValidViewNetwork gathered that the Commissioner, who hailed from the area, was attacked by a man identified as Olumide Awolumate who is a ward chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Some leaders of APC from Arigidi Akoko had alleged that the exercise was shrouded in secrecy by government officials and kicked against the arrangement.
In a viral video, Olumide popularly called Cuba was seen using a blue chair to attack the Commissioner and also attempt to raise a table before he was stopped.
Osadahun who was injured with a swollen head and bruises was reportedly rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Recall that the State Government commenced the distribution of the palliatives to the 18 Local Government Areas some few days ago
