BUCKINGHAMSHIRE — A 35-year-old Nigerian man has been slammed with a heavy 21-year prison sentence by a British court for orchestrating a vicious online grooming campaign that targeted four vulnerable teenage girls via the social media app Snapchat.
Goodness Sokoh, a resident of Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, operated under the chilling online alias ‘GWDY_SXNGS’ between October 31 and December 17, 2025. Leveraging free vapes and cannabis as malicious bait, Sokoh reeled his underage victims into his vehicle before subjecting them to horrific sexual abuse and multiple rapes in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire.
Following a thorough investigation by the Thames Valley Police Child Abuse Investigation Unit, Sokoh was cornered and arrested on December 17, 2025, leading to formal charges just two days later. At Amersham Law Court, he was subsequently found guilty on a 10-count indictment encompassing rape, sexual assault, and causing children to engage in sexual activity.
”You Thought You Could Do Whatever You Wanted”
Handing down the crushing sentence, Judge Catherine Tulk did not mince words while rebuking the convict for his predatory behavior.
”You were grooming them so that they would trust you and put themselves into danger. You thought you could do with them whatever you wanted. Not one of them wanted to have any sexual activity with you,” Judge Tulk stated, emphasizing that Sokoh had ruthlessly exploited the youths’ age and vulnerability.
The devastating human cost of Sokoh’s actions echoed through the courtroom during the reading of heart-wrenching victim impact statements. The court heard how one of the teenage survivors spiraled into severe self-harm, abandoned her education, and lived in constant terror. Another victim’s mother heartbreakingly revealed that her daughter attempted to take her own life, noting that the teenager’s once-bubbly personality had been permanently dimmed. A third mother recounted how her child continues to battle crippling insomnia, chronic nightmares, and the social stigma of being targeted by an online predator.
Lifetime Consequences and Ongoing Manhunt
Alongside his 21-year custodial term—of which he must serve at least two-thirds behind bars before being considered for parole—Sokoh has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life and slapped with a permanent restraining order barring any contact with his victims.
Investigators believe Sokoh’s predatory reach may extend beyond the four identified victims. Thames Valley Police have announced that they are keeping an open mind regarding the case and are actively appealing for anyone with additional information or who may have been targeted by the handle ‘GWDY_SXNGS’ to come forward.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Natalie Palmer commended the extraordinary resilience shown by the young girls throughout the grueling legal process, noting that their bravery ultimately secured justice.
