Decades of Silence, One Verdict: Tupac’s Killer Finally Faces Justice

Davis, 63, a former leader of the South Side Compton Crips, now faces a possible maximum sentence of life in prison without parole.

Sentencing has been scheduled for October 13, 2026.

The Case Against Davis

During closing arguments, prosecutors argued that circumstantial evidence and Davis’s own admissions, including details in his memoir, tied him to the crime.

They described Davis as a “shot caller” in the gang who “went hunting” for Shakur.

After the conviction, Davis told the judge he intended to appeal.
