RCCG Founder’s Daughter Clears The Air, Backs Adeboye Amid Legacy Claims

A public controversy over the legacy of the founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has drawn a firm response from his daughter. Rather than deepen the debate, she moved to end it by rejecting statements attributed to her and reaffirming support for the church’s leadership.

ValidViewNetwork reports that Mrs. Titilayo Akindayomi-Adewale, daughter of RCCG founder Pa Josiah Akindayomi, denied making comments circulating on social media about her father’s legacy. Mrs. Akindayomi-Adewale said her father’s greatest achievement was not physical structures.

She said his true legacy was the lives he transformed through faith.

“For the record, Baba’s image or lack thereof on any edifice on earth is nothing compared to making Heaven and his face being recognized there,” she said.

She recalled that her father never pursued earthly recognition.She also said he placed greater value on building people than constructing monuments.

Support For Adeboye

ValidViewNetwork reports that she dismissed suggestions that she was campaigning for public recognition of her father’s name through buildings or institutions. She said such claims contradict her father’s beliefs and values.

She also prayed for continued wisdom and strength for the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and his family. Her statement reaffirmed confidence in the church’s present leadership.

Warning Against Division

Mrs. Akindayomi-Adewale said the reports appeared designed to create unnecessary controversy.

She warned that such narratives could distract members from the church’s spiritual mission.”In my opinion, this report and similar ones are not about me, my father, or even the leadership of the RCCG,” she said.

“Instead, they are intended to create unnecessary arguments and division.”

She urged those responsible to stop what she described as mischievous misinformation, ValidViewNetwork reports.
