American rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been hospitalised after sustaining a head injury while serving his prison sentence in New Jersey. The Diddy hospitalised head injury prison incident occurred early Saturday morning when the music executive was rushed from FCI Fort Dix for medical treatment.
THE INCIDENT
TMZ reported that Diddy had to leave prison grounds for a head injury. The ambulance pulled out of Fort Dix around 1 AM, but the injury was not life-threatening because Diddy was conscious and speaking when he was taken back to the prison before sunrise Saturday.
The exact cause of the injury remains unclear.
THE BACKSTORY
The incident comes after reports that Diddy had been placed in solitary confinement in July after getting into a fight with a fellow inmate.
At the time, insiders said the two inmates began pushing each other before coming to fisticuffs, in which Diddy is said to have “held his own” during the fight.
Prison staff quickly broke up the fight and separated both men .Diddy is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix following his conviction on prostitution-related charges in 2025.
THE PRISON LIFESTYLE CONTROVERSY
The hospitalisation comes amid reports about Diddy’s living conditions behind bars. NBC reported that Diddy allegedly has other inmates cook meals for him and clean the bathroom, and has men do his laundry.
The Bad Boy Records founder is also reported to have a man who gives him Chinese-style massages.
One anonymous inmate told NBC: “This is not some normal s— you see in jail. This is some rich s—. It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy”.
However, Diddy’s representative, Juda Engelmayer, pushed back against claims about the disgraced hip-hop mogul’s alleged “VIP” lifestyle. “At this point, the stories about Sean’s supposed prison lifestyle seem to be getting more elaborate by the day. Anonymous claims that he has created a ‘VIP section’ at a federal prison and is handing out invitations to future White Parties make for colorful copy, but that does not make them true”.
Engelmayer added: “Sean is serving his sentence and focused on getting through his time, his family and his appeal. We are not going to respond to every new story attributed to unnamed prison sources” .
DIDDY’S REPRESENTATIVES RESPOND
Responding to the head injury claims, Diddy’s representatives told The Mirror US: “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out” .
THE SENTENCE
Diddy’s release date has been pushed back several weeks from January 2028 to March 2028.

The hospitalisation raises questions about safety and medical care within the federal prison system. It also adds to the ongoing saga of Diddy’s post-conviction life, which has been marked by reports of special treatment, fights and now a medical emergency.
Whether the head injury was the result of an altercation, an accident, or something else remains unclear. What is clear is that Diddy’s prison experience is proving anything but uneventful. ValidViewNetwork reports that Diddy has been returned to prison. His representatives are monitoring the situation.
