According to Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük, Real Madrid has officially shortlisted the 27-year-old Nigerian international alongside Manchester City’s Erling Haaland as their primary attacking targets for the 2026/27 campaign. Scouts from both Madrid and PSG were reportedly in attendance at Rams Park last Tuesday, monitoring Osimhen during Galatasaray’s high-stakes UEFA Champions League encounter against Liverpool.
The Madrid Strategy
Real Madrid’s interest is fueled by a desire to rebalance their frontline. Reports from Sabah and Fichajes suggest that President Florentino Pérez is prepared to sanction a bid exceeding €100 million. The strategic goal is to install a traditional “number nine,” allowing Kylian Mbappé to transition back to his preferred role on the left wing. This move comes amid ongoing speculation regarding the future of the club’s current attacking configuration.
The Parisian Rebound
Paris Saint-Germain is also back in the fray, seeking to rectify their failed 2024 pursuit when a massive joint bid for Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was rebuffed by Napoli.
