Four U.S. Reservists Identified in Deadly Kuwait Drone Strike

​The Department of Defense has released the identities of four of the six U.S. Army Reserve soldiers killed during a devastating drone attack in Kuwait on Sunday. The strike, which occurred at a tactical operations center in Port Shuaiba, marks the first American combat fatalities in the escalating regional conflict dubbed Operation Epic Fury.

​The fallen service members, all assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) based in Des Moines, Iowa, have been identified as:

• ​Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida.
• ​Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska.
• ​Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
• ​Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa (posthumously promoted from Specialist).

​The attack took place on March 1, when an Iranian-launched unmanned aerial system breached air defenses and struck a modular trailer being used as a command hub. While Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth initially described the facility as “fortified,” military officials have since raised concerns regarding the vulnerability of the makeshift office space, which offered little protection against overhead strikes.

​Initially, U.S. Central Command reported three deaths, but the toll was revised to six after two additional bodies were recovered from the debris and a sixth soldier succumbed to injuries. The identities of the remaining two service members are being withheld pending the notification of their next of kin.

​”These men and women all bravely volunteered to defend our country, and their sacrifice will never be forgotten,” said Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll in a statement. The 103rd Sustainment Command is a logistics unit responsible for managing essential supplies like fuel, water, and ammunition.
