The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) conducted a major raid in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Proxy Nightclub, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. Acting on credible intelligence, NDLEA operatives had infiltrated the venue around 11 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, and moved to disrupt a suspected drug-fueled party at about 3 a.m.
During the operation, more than 100 individuals were arrested, including the club’s owner and Lagos socialite Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike. The suspects were taken into custody for further screening.

NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi disclosed that illicit substances including cartons of Loud (a potent strain of cannabis) and laughing gas were recovered both from party attendees and the club’s storage areas. The raid aligns with the agency’s Standard Operating Procedures and marks a significant blow to narcotics-related activities in Lagos nightlife venues.

This enforcement action comes amid a broader crackdown by NDLEA, which recently intercepted UK-bound cocaine concealed in cosmetic cream containers and seized methamphetamine in other operations across Nigeria.
