The Ogun State Public Service, widely recognized as a leading model across Nigeria, has celebrated a significant milestone with the official presentation of its Reviewed Statutory Books alongside a newly introduced Induction and Orientation Manual for civil and public servants.
The landmark event, held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Obas’ Complex Auditorium in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, signified a renewed commitment to enhancing professionalism, accountability, and efficiency within the state’s workforce. Speaking at the ceremony, the Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, described the occasion as a historic step in the administrative evolution of Ogun State’s public service sector.
Mr. Onasanya emphasized that the reviewed Statutory Books and the induction manual are vital governance instruments designed not as hurdles but as crucial guides that promote order, transparency, fairness, and discipline in public administration. He highlighted that these materials would serve as a new ethical and administrative compass, helping to forge stronger bonds of trust between the government and the citizens it serves.
In his remarks, he urged every public servant to conscientiously acquire their copies, thoroughly understand the contents, and diligently apply the principles and regulations therein to their official duties. “By embracing these documents, every officer takes personal responsibility for upholding the highest standards of public service,” he noted.

The presentation event also featured the active participation of permanent secretaries, members of the statutory books review committee, and senior government officials, all of whom attended a sensitization workshop to deepen their understanding of these critical documents.
This initiative aligns with Ogun State Government’s broader reforms aimed at sustaining an efficient, responsive, and principled workforce, reflecting the state’s reputation as a trailblazer in public sector governance. The updated Statutory Books and induction manual are expected to play a pivotal role in consolidating institutional reforms and fostering a culture of professionalism and ethical conduct within the civil service.
