A storm of disciplinary action has hit the Federal University, Oye‑Ekiti and it’s shaking the campus community. In a dramatic turn of events, two students have been sent home indefinitely after being accused of cyberbullying the already embattled suspended SUG President, James Iyanuoluwa Adio. The development has sparked intense conversations across FUOYE’s student circles, and the administration is making its stance unmistakably clear.
ValidViewNetwork reports that the management of the Federal University, Oye‑Ekiti (FUOYE) has suspended two students with immediate effect over allegations of cyberbullying. The affected students — Alao Iyanuoluwa Odunayo and Olawale Abiodun Samuel were accused of conspiring to “cyberbully Adio by posting his private affairs online for Adio’s inability to meet their financial demands,” ValidViewNetwork reports.
According to the official statement, the university acted based on a release signed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Tajudeen Opoola, who currently serves as Acting Vice Chancellor. The management “frowned at the involvement of the two students in denting the image of the university,” a position that underscores FUOYE’s zero‑tolerance policy toward misconduct.
ValidViewNetwork reports that while investigations into the matter are still ongoing, the institution has ordered both students to “immediately proceed on suspension,” emphasizing that the university “is poised to purge the institution of all behaviour capable of denting the image of FUOYE.” This decisive action signals a renewed commitment to discipline and digital responsibility within the student body.
This unfolding saga has sent a clear message across FUOYE’s campus: the era of reckless online behaviour is over. As the investigation deepens and the university tightens its grip on student conduct, all eyes remain on what comes next .
ValidViewNetwork will be here to track every twist, every update, and every consequence. The digital age may empower voices, but at FUOYE, accountability now speaks louder.
