Influencer Killed in Targeted Lamborghini Shooting

​MIRAMAR, Fla. — A popular South Florida social media influencer, known to her hundreds of thousands of followers as “DreamDoll Brii,” has died following a targeted drive-by shooting early Sunday morning.

​Authorities identified the victim as 21-year-old Brianna Johnson. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. on July 5, as Johnson and two male companions were traveling in a lime-green Lamborghini Urus along the 2700 block of Sunshine Boulevard in Miramar.

​According to the Miramar Police Department, the trio had been leaving a local party when a white sedan pulled alongside their vehicle and opened fire. The barrage of gunfire caused the Lamborghini to drift through an intersection, run through a stop sign, and ultimately crash into a nearby residential property.

​Emergency responders arrived shortly after receiving alerts from the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system. All three occupants were discovered inside the wreckage suffering from critical gunshot wounds. They were rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital, where Johnson later succumbed to her injuries. The two men remain hospitalized in critical condition; their identities have not been released by police.

​Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss confirmed that investigators believe the incident was not a random act of violence. “Certainly they targeted this particular car for some reason,” Moss stated during a press briefing. “We’re trying to figure out why.”

​Preliminary investigations suggest the victims may have been followed by the suspects after leaving a residence earlier that morning. Some reports indicate there may have been an altercation at a nearby gas station prior to the shooting, though police have not officially confirmed a motive. Investigators are currently reviewing local surveillance footage, which reportedly shows a light-colored vehicle trailing the Lamborghini in the moments leading up to the attack.

​Johnson, who also went by the handle “ItGirlBri,” had cultivated a significant digital footprint, boasting over 380,000 followers on TikTok and nearly 89,000 on Instagram. She was recognized for her lifestyle content and her burgeoning music career, most notably for her appearance on the viral rap track Bend Ova.

​The Miramar Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the shooting or the suspect vehicle to come forward as the investigation continues. As of Monday morning, no arrests have been announced.
