Olowo of Owo Marks 60th Birthday with Royal Distinction

​OWO— Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has joined a host of dignitaries and the people of Owo Kingdom in celebrating the 60th birthday of His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo and Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Traditional Rulers.

​In a formal felicitation issued on Monday, the Governor lauded the monarch for his trajectory of service, which has spanned decades of excellence across the legal, administrative, and academic spheres. Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized that the Olowo’s leadership has been defined by profound wisdom and integrity, positioning him not only as a custodian of culture but as a pivotal partner in the state’s developmental agenda.

​”Kabiyesi has distinguished himself as a royal father of remarkable foresight,” the Governor noted. “His contributions to the peace, unity, and progress of Ondo State remain invaluable. As the Chairman of the State Council of Traditional Rulers, he has played a critical role in fostering harmony among his peers and bridging the gap between traditional institutions and the government.”

​Beyond his royal responsibilities, Oba Ogunoye is widely recognized for his distinguished career as a legal practitioner and his tenure as a high-ranking civil servant, having retired as a Permanent Secretary. His commitment to education and intellectual growth is further reflected in his role as the Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Babura, Jigawa State, an office through which he continues to influence national development.
