“Well Deserved” — Iyabo Obasanjo Hails Tinubu’s Landslide Victory

A fresh wave of political momentum swept through Ogun State as Senator Professor Iyabo Obasanjo celebrated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s overwhelming triumph in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary election. Her endorsement has further strengthened the growing narrative that Ogun State remains firmly aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general election.

According to the official results announced by the APC Presidential Primaries Election Committee, Tinubu secured 10,999,162 votes, while his challenger, Stanley Osifo, polled 16,503 votes in the exercise held across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Describing the President’s victory as “well deserved,” she commended APC leaders, stakeholders, and members for ensuring a peaceful and orderly conduct throughout the primary process nationwide.

Offering prayers and words of encouragement to the President, Obasanjo said:

“As Nigerians continue to look forward to sustainable development, economic growth, national stability and inclusive governance, I pray that Almighty God grants President Bola Ahmed Tinubu more wisdom, strength and good health to continue leading the nation to greater heights. Congratulations once again, Mr. President.”

The APC primary election reportedly took place across 8,809 wards and 774 local government areas nationwide, with party officials praising the process as peaceful and participatory in several states.

With endorsements continuing to pour in from influential political figures, Tinubu’s emergence as the APC flagbearer appears to have further consolidated support within party ranks.
