A fresh wave of political momentum swept through Ogun State as Senator Professor Iyabo Obasanjo celebrated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s overwhelming triumph in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary election. According to the official results announced by the APC Presidential Primaries Election Committee, Tinubu secured 10,999,162 votes, while his challenger, Stanley Osifo, polled 16,503 votes in the exercise held across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The APC primary election reportedly took place across 8,809 wards and 774 local government areas nationwide, with party officials praising the process as peaceful and participatory in several states.
