Turkish football pundit Adnan Aybaba has sparked widespread astonishment and controversy with an eccentric wager regarding Galatasaray’s star forward, Victor Osimhen.
Appearing on the popular sports television program Telegol, Aybaba made a dramatic on-air promise to paint his entire body black and parade through Istanbul’s bustling Taksim Square if the Nigerian international finishes the Süper Lig campaign with more goals than Beşiktaş newcomer Dušan Vlahović and Fenerbahçe marquee signing Romelu Lukaku.
The outspoken pundit doubled down on his assessment of the strikers’ technical abilities, arguing that Vlahović possesses superior overall qualities to the former Napoli talisman and dismissing suggestions that Osimhen would dominate the Turkish scoring charts.
”Osimhen will lag behind Lukaku and Vlahović. Vlahović is a better footballer than Osimhen,” Aybaba claimed during the broadcast. “If Osimhen scores more goals than these two, I’ll walk around Taksim in my underwear and paint myself black!”

Aybaba’s bold proclamation has already drawn heavy scrutiny from football fans and media outlets alike, particularly given the early-season trajectory. Osimhen has hit the ground running for the reigning champions, while his cross-town rivals’ marquee options look to match his early domestic production.
As the Süper Lig title race and individual golden boot battle intensifies, all eyes will undoubtedly remain on whether the Turkish pundit is forced to make good on one of the most bizarre public bets in recent broadcasting history.
