ValidViewNetwork reports that Henry made the comments during an interview with social commentator Jos Connection at the Okoye family’s residence in Plateau State on Friday, August 7, 2026.

His intervention comes after years of turbulence surrounding one of Africa’s most successful sibling music partnerships.

A Brother’s Hope Meets a Brother’s Doubt

For fans who watched Peter and Paul Okoye dominate African music together, the idea that the twins may never reconcile is difficult to imagine.

But Henry, their eldest brother, says he is no longer confident that the relationship can return to what it once was. Henry said Peter had made efforts to resolve the disagreement but expressed doubts about whether those efforts could restore the bond the brothers once shared.

“I will be happy for them to come back together but I don’t think it will happen,” Henry said.

He also appealed to Paul to forgive Peter and reconsider the prolonged dispute.

ValidViewNetwork reports that Henry’s latest intervention reflects the continuing frustration within the Okoye family over a feud that has repeatedly moved from private disagreements into the public space.

The Family Behind the Music

Before the disputes, Peter and Paul were more than music partners. They were identical twins whose partnership produced some of the biggest Afrobeats and African pop records of the 2000s and 2010s.

Their success turned P-Square into a household name across Africa, while their family members also played different roles around their career.

Henry recalled that the twins had once been particularly close and described Paul as a kind person before the relationship deteriorated. He also made claims about the family’s early financial arrangements, saying the brothers had promised him 20 per cent when they began making money.

According to Henry, Jude intervened in the arrangement. “I challenged him that he wasn’t there when we started everything but now chasing everybody away from them,” he said.

The claims represent Henry’s account of events and have not been independently established in the interview.

From 2017 Split to a Hopeful Reunion

The first major public collapse of P-Square came in 2017, when Peter and Paul went their separate ways after years of professional and personal tensions.

The split shocked fans who had grown accustomed to seeing the twins perform together. For four years, their careers developed separately.

Then came the moment many fans had been waiting for. In 2021, Peter and Paul reunited. The reunion generated widespread excitement and appeared to suggest that the differences responsible for the original breakup had finally been resolved.

But the peace did not last. By 2024, another major dispute had emerged.

The Dispute Becomes a Legal Battle

The latest disagreement went beyond music and family relationships. Peter accused Paul of working with their elder brother, Jude, against him and raised questions about the management of P-Square’s finances.

Peter also alleged that another company, Northside Music Limited, was receiving royalties belonging to P-Square and linked the company to Jude and his wife.

Paul rejected Peter’s position and publicly defended Jude. In February 2025, Paul said he supported Jude because he believed his elder brother knew the truth about the dispute.

The disagreement subsequently entered the courtroom. Jude was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations involving N1.38bn, $1m and £34,537.59.

He pleaded not guilty. Peter later testified in the case and alleged that Jude secretly incorporated Northside Music Limited and used it to collect royalties belonging to P-Square.

A New Twist in the Financial Dispute

The legal dispute continued into 2026.

During cross-examination in February 2026, Peter admitted that he was a co-signatory to the Northside Entertainment Limited account.

The admission differed from his earlier position that Jude was the sole signatory to the account. That development added another layer to an already complicated dispute involving family relationships, business management and money.

The court proceedings remain separate from Henry’s latest appeal for reconciliation.

Henry Wants the Family Back Together

Despite his pessimism, Henry has not abandoned the possibility of peace. He said he wants the entire family to reunite and recalled seeking help from other individuals, including businessman Shehu Dantata, in an attempt to resolve the disagreement.

Henry also recalled an episode involving his health. He appealed to Paul to remember the support Peter reportedly gave him when he was hospitalised, including payment of his hospital bills.

For Henry, those memories appear to represent the family bond that existed before the disputes became entrenched. He also urged Jude to play a role in restoring the family to its former state.

Can P-Square Find Its Way Back?

The central question now is whether the brothers can separate their personal relationship from the financial and legal disputes that have followed them for years.

Their 2021 reunion demonstrated that reconciliation is possible. The events that followed, however, showed that a reunion does not necessarily resolve the underlying disagreements.

Henry’s comments therefore present a sobering assessment from within the family itself. His concern is not simply about whether P-Square will perform together again.

It is whether Peter and Paul can recover the relationship they had before fame, money, management disagreements and legal battles complicated their family ties.

For millions of P-Square fans, the music may be the part of the story they remember most.

For the Okoye family, however, the unresolved questions appear to be much deeper than music.

ValidViewNetwork reports that Henry has forgiven his siblings and continues to advocate reconciliation, even as he remains doubtful that Peter and Paul can return to the closeness they once shared.

For now, the P-Square story remains unfinished. And perhaps the biggest question is no longer whether the twins can make music together again, but whether they can find a way to make peace away from the stage.
