Man Dies After Using Epoxy Glue as Contraception

​In a bizarre and tragic cautionary tale out of Ahmedabad, India, local authorities are untangling the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of 25-year-old Salman Mirza, who reportedly suffered multiple organ failure after using industrial-strength epoxy resin as an unconventional form of birth control.

​According to police reports and investigative findings, Mirza and his former partner checked into the hotel. Prior to their encounter, the couple had reportedly been inhaling the fumes of an ultra-strong adhesive—a practice they engaged in recreationally “for a kick”—while also consuming narcotics.

​The next day, Mirza was discovered unresponsive in the shrubs outside the hotel premises by an acquaintance. He was rushed to Sola Civil Hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead shortly after arrival. An autopsy later uncovered an unidentified green substance in his abdomen, and medical examiners attributed his death to multiple organ failure, compounded by the toxic chemical exposure and potential systemic shock.
