
The House of Representatives has adopted the report on the proposed establishment of state police and approved 18 constitutional amendment clauses as part of ongoing efforts to reform governance and strengthen security across the country.
The report was adopted during Thursday’s plenary session presided over by the Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas.

The approved clauses form part of a broader constitutional review process aimed at enhancing institutional effectiveness, improving security architecture, and deepening democratic governance in Nigeria.
