Kavinsky became a pillar of the electronic and retro-house music scenes, etching his name into pop culture history with his 2010 masterpiece, “Nightcall”. The track achieved international acclaim after serving as the haunting opening-credits anthem for Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 cult-classic film Drive, starring Ryan Gosling.
Operating behind a carefully crafted fictional persona—imagined as a zombie producer resurrected from a 1986 Ferrari Testarossa crash—Belorgey intentionally shunned traditional celebrity culture. Following years of anticipation, he released his debut studio album, OutRun, in 2013, followed by his sophomore LP, Reborn, in 2022 after a lengthy hiatus.
