Controversial relationship expert and social media influencer, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has been remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a fresh N69.1 million fraud allegation.
She was arraigned before Justice R.A. Oshodi at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, facing a two-count charge of stealing and obtaining money under false pretences.
The Fresh Allegations
According to the EFCC, Blessing CEO allegedly defrauded Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited of N69,150,000 in March 2025. The prosecution claims she falsely represented herself as the owner of a property located at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, Lagos, and subsequently leased it to the clinic for a five-year period.
The anti-graft agency stated that her actions contravene the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, as well as the Criminal Law of Lagos State. The influencer, however, pleaded “not guilty” to both counts.
While the defense counsel, Nkama Nneka, argued that they had only recently been served with the charges, Justice Oshodi ruled that the arraignment should proceed in accordance with the law.
A Tale of Two Courts
Blessing CEO’s legal woes are mounting across multiple courts. Hours before her appearance in Ikeja, Justice Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi had granted her bail in a completely separate N36 million fraud case.
The conditions for her N36 million bail included:
- A bond of N10 million with two sureties in like sum.
- One surety must be a family member with verified employment, BVN, and NIN.
- Submission of international passports, tax clearance certificates for the past two years, and passport photographs.
However, she could not savor that temporary relief. Following her plea in the fresh N69.1 million case, EFCC prosecution counsel C.C. Okezie requested her continued remand, citing yet another scheduled court appearance at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi.
Justice Oshodi ordered that the influencer remain in EFCC custody and adjourned the matter until July 16, 2026, for the hearing of her bail application and the commencement of trial.
