Yusuf stated that Abubakar should be prosecuted before the Shariah court and vowed to sign the death warrant if the court finds the 38-year-old guilty and sentences him to death.
Valid View Network reports that the bombing incident, which occurred during early morning prayers, has resulted in the death toll rising to 15, with over 20 individuals hospitalized.
Governor Yusuf visited the hospitalized victims at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in Kano upon his return from a trip to Abuja.
During his visit, he pledged that justice would be served for the victims and emphasized his readiness to sign the death warrant if Abubakar is condemned to death.

The police confirmed that the attack was not politically motivated, and it was an isolated incident stemming from familial issues.
Governor Yusuf also donated N100,000 to each of the victims and reiterated the state’s commitment to ensuring justice for those affected by the attack.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 1, Umar Sanda, confirmed that the suspect is in custody and providing useful information about the incident.
