Ansar-Ud-Deen Appoints AGF Fagbemi as Summit University Pro-Chancellor

​The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has officially appointed the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Summit University, Offa, Kwara State.

​The formal presentation of the appointment letter took place on Thursday at the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation in Abuja. The delegation was led by the National President of the Society and Visitor to the university, Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem (SAN).

​A Merit-Based Selection

​Addressing the ceremony, Prince Adeniji Kazeem explained that the appointment followed a transparent and rigorous selection process. The Society’s National Executive Council unanimously selected Fagbemi in recognition of his distinguished legal career, history of exemplary public service, and his long-standing commitment to the educational vision of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society.

​”The Society is confident that Prince Fagbemi’s wealth of experience and exceptional leadership qualities will provide strategic direction for the University’s Governing Council,” Kazeem stated. He noted that the appointment is expected to bolster the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, innovative research, and character development.

​In his response, Fagbemi expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him by the leadership of the Society. He pledged to discharge his new responsibilities with diligence, integrity, and dedication. The AGF further assured stakeholders that he would collaborate closely with the university’s management and the Governing Council to advance the institution’s strategic vision.
