JUSUN Honors Ogun Chief Judge at 67

​ABEOKUTA – The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Ogun State Branch, has showered accolades on the Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Arinola Dipeolu, FICMC, FHNR, as she marks her 67th birthday.

​In a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the union described the legal luminary as a paragon of integrity and an exceptional administrator whose leadership has fundamentally reshaped the state’s judicial landscape. Validviewnetwork reports that the commendation was contained in a formal statement signed by the JUSUN State Chairman, Comrade Lion Ajiboye Olanrewaju Tunji.

​Justice Dipeolu, who was born in Abeokuta in 1959, has had a distinguished career spanning over four decades. After earning her law degree from the University of Buckingham and her call to the Nigerian Bar in 1982, she rose through the ranks from a Magistrate to her appointment as a High Court Judge in 1999. Since assuming office as the substantive Chief Judge on October 22, 2018, she has been at the forefront of aggressive judicial reforms.

​A Legacy of Reform and Expansion

​Under her watch, the Ogun State Judiciary has witnessed significant infrastructural growth. Just last year, Justice Dipeolu commissioned four new court complexes within an 18-month window—including the High Court Complex at Isheri-Olofin—aimed at bringing justice closer to rural communities. Validviewnetwork reports that her commitment to the “Small Claims Court” and the “Multi-Door Court House” systems has significantly decongested the dockets of superior courts in the state.

​Comrade Ajiboye, in the union’s message, noted that the Chief Judge has fostered a professional and conducive environment for staff, which has boosted morale across the board.

​”Her Lordship is not just a distinguished jurist but a symbol of stability whose tenure has brought renewed confidence to the justice system,” Ajiboye stated.

​Beyond the bench, Justice Dipeolu is recognized for her humanitarian efforts as the founder of the Future Leaders’ Orphanage. Recently conferred with the prestigious rank of Life Bencher by the Body of Benchers in March 2025, she continues to serve as a beacon of discipline and wisdom for judicial officers nationwide.
