The Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area Hon Ajose Peter Kumayon has called on leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress APC in the council to close ranks shun division and work collectively towards securing victory for the party in the 2027 general elections

Ajose made the call during a strategic meeting with APC leaders council executives ward leaders and party executives from the five wards of Olorunda LCDA held at the council secretariat in Iworo

The meeting attracted a strong turnout of party stakeholders and focused on strengthening unity within the APC while building a more coordinated and effective grassroots mobilisation structure ahead of the 2027 elections

Addressing the gathering Ajose stressed that the progress and electoral strength of the APC depended largely on unity commitment loyalty and collective responsibility He maintained that he would not support any form of factionalisation or division within the party

He urged members to put personal grievances and differences aside and place the overall interest of the party above individual ambitions

According to him every committed APC member must remain focused on the task of delivering victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the 2027 general elections

Ajose specifically called on party members to intensify their mobilisation efforts for the APC governorship candidate Dr Obafemi Kadri Hamzat and his running mate Princess Damilola Sonayon James as well as the party candidates contesting the Senate House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly seats covering Badagry Constituency I and II

He described Olorunda LCDA as a critical political stronghold in Badagry and noted that its sizeable voting population gives the council an important role in determining the fortunes of the APC in the constituency

The council chairman therefore charged party leaders and members across the five wards to return to their various communities and strengthen grassroots engagement mobilise voters and ensure that the party remains firmly connected with the people

He emphasised that victory in 2027 would require more than political meetings at the council level stressing that genuine grassroots mobilisation and sustained engagement with voters would be key to achieving the desired result

Also speaking the APC Chairman in Olorunda LCDA Hon Babalola Ebenezer endorsed the call for unity and commitment urging party members to put their grievances aside and respect the supremacy of the party

Ebenezer called for increased mobilisation across the five wards stressing that the strength of the APC ahead of the 2027 elections would depend largely on the ability of its members to work together as one united political family

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of Olorunda LCDA Hon Bolaji Adele Solomon members of the council executive APC leaders and executives at the local council and ward levels as well as other party stakeholders

At the end of the meeting the party leadership reaffirmed its commitment to the APC and pledged to work collectively and tirelessly across the five wards towards securing victory for the party in the 2027 general elections
