The Snaresbrook Crown Court in London has officially confirmed that popular Nigerian dancer and entertainer, Iweh Pascal Odinaka—widely known as Poco Lee—is scheduled to appear before the bench over an ongoing assault case.
Following days of widespread speculation and unverified social media reports regarding the celebrity’s detention, the London-based judicial body formally addressed inquiries on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, issued a correspondence confirming that the high-profile matter is officially listed for a plea and trial preparation hearing on September 15, 2026.
”I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026,” Baker stated, noting that exact courtroom allocations and precise timings will only be made public a day prior to the proceedings.
Background and Community Response
Initial panic and inquiries began swirling across digital platforms on August 19, 26, after rumors emerged regarding the entertainer’s legal status abroad.
The situation gained substantial traction when the founder of the Community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, Benjamin Kuti (popularly known as the Oluomo of Derby), publicly verified that the dancer was held on remand. Kuti noted that his regular oversight of diaspora legal matters prompted him to track the case.
Meanwhile, Poco Lee’s management team has stepped forward to address the swirl of digital misinformation, specifically cautioning the public against unverified narratives—including rumors referencing “drink spiking”—stating clearly that such claims form no part of the formal charges brought before the court.
While criminal court hearings in the United Kingdom are broadly open to the public, legal representatives and community advocates have emphasized the importance of upholding the presumption of innocence and allowing due process to dictate the outcome of the judicial proceedings.
