KANO — The Kano State Hisbah Board has clamped down on social media indecency with the high-profile arrest of viral TikTok content creator, Ukasha Yahaya, popularly known as UK International.
The 27-year-old internet sensation—who commands a massive digital footprint with over 262,000 followers and 2.4 million likes on his handle—was nabbed following actionable intelligence tracking his entry into Kano State.
Netizens Stunned as Explicit Content Triggers Law Enforcement
The Deputy Commander General of the board, Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen, confirmed the swift operation on Thursday, stating that the suspect is currently being held in custody while rigorous investigations proceed.
The arrest follows widespread public outcry and internal monitoring over a series of viral clips shared on the platform. Investigators flagged multiple videos showing Yahaya—a native of Gusau, Zamfara State, who primarily resides in Abuja—engaging in intimate acts with various women. The controversial content ranged from public dancing and physical embraces to swimming and shared bathing scenes, pulling staggering engagement numbers that hit between one and three million views per post.
Interrogation Room Confessions: “I Lost Count”
During a grilling session by Hisbah operatives, a remorseful Yahaya admitted that he had completely lost count of the number of controversial videos he had churned out. When probed about how he managed to feature numerous women in his clips, he claimed that the female creators and fans routinely approached him directly due to his rising online status.
Confronted about whether he would ever feature members of his immediate family in similar compromising scenarios, Yahaya quickly drew a line. He noted that all his sisters are married and confessed that his mother, alongside several other family elders, had repeatedly cautioned him against pursuing such a career path.
Visibly contrite, the TikToker offered a public apology and pledged to permanently ditch the style of content creation as he prepares to settle down for marriage.
Hisbah Sends Stern Warning to Youth
Dr. Aminuddeen maintained that the law would take its course, confirming that Yahaya will be formally charged to a court of law as soon as ongoing investigations are finalized.

The board seized the moment to issue a sweeping caution to young people across social media networks, warning that the agency will not tolerate the use of digital platforms like TikTok to propagate values that violently contravene regional morality and religious laws.
