The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Zubairu Dada, on Wednesday, stated that no Nigerian died in the crisis ridden Sudan.
Validviewnetwork had earlier reported that 5,500 Nigerians are stranded in Sudan while the Federal Government had assured that it was working round the clock towards ensuring that they all leave Sudan safely.
While giving the details of the evacuation, the Minister stated that the first batch of Nigerians are being conveyed as of Wednesday, noting that citizens will be conveyed via buses through Egypt and consequently airlifted.
Diplomat, women and children are to be prioritised in the evacuation process.
Validviewnetwork reported that the Chairman of Air Peace which is the largest domestic airline in Nigeria had assured Nigerians that the airline would evacuate Nigerians to safety free of charge.
Many lives have been lost to the hostilities in Sudan .
Countries who have citizens in the country are taking advantage of the available window to evacuate their citizens.
The crisis in Sudan has led to the kids of many lives and destruction of infrastructure, ValidViewNetwork reports.
