The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested Mukaila Lamidi, also known as Auxiliary, the embattled chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System, at his residence in the Olodo area of Ibadan, the state capital.
While the reasons for his arrest are not yet fully disclosed, it is believed to be connected to an interview he granted on Saturday, May 4. In the interview, Auxiliary called out Seye Famojuro, a trusted ally of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, for allegedly being behind his recent troubles.
During the interview, which was conducted in the Yoruba language by media personnel Ajibola Akinyefa, Auxiliary expressed his grievances and questioned the actions of those involved in his removal from office.

He also made comments regarding the governor’s ally, Seye Famojuro, hinting at potential consequences for his actions.
This recent arrest comes after Auxiliary’s previous arrest in May 2023, following an alleged attempt by his loyalists to cause trouble in the state following the dissolution of the PMS committee by Governor Makinde.
However, during that raid, Auxiliary managed to evade arrest.
While details about the recent arrest are still emerging, the DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunnaya, has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the matter.
