The Osun State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with a burglary in which valuables valued at an estimated three million naira were stolen.
Operatives attached to the Ilesa Area Command apprehended 27-year-old Eyelade Anuoluwa in Ibadan, Oyo State, following intelligence-led operations. According to the state police spokesperson, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, Anuoluwa allegedly broke into the complainant’s residence on July 26, 2026.
The stolen items included an HP laptop, a Dell laptop, an iPhone 12, an Android phone, two power banks, and recharge cards, with a total estimated value of ₦3,000,000.
After being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Anuoluwa reportedly confessed to the crime and disclosed that some of the stolen items had been transferred to a receiver in Ibadan. Subsequent intelligence operations led to the arrest of 28-year-old Abdullah Musa in Ibadan.
Musa confessed to receiving the stolen goods, admitting specifically that he purchased the stolen iPhone 12 for twenty-five thousand naira (₦25,000). He is currently being investigated for alleged involvement in a wider syndicate dealing in stolen items.
Police recovered several items during the operation, including the HP and Dell laptops, a small Samsung phone, a mini DP charger, two power banks, a 16GB Apple iPad, and a scrap phone.
Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Zungura, commended the operatives for their diligence. The command stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover other members of the syndicate and recover additional stolen properties before the suspects are charged to court.
