In a dramatic escalation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership crisis, Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum has publicly rebuked National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba. Through a statement by Deputy National Publicity Secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi, Damagum disputed Ologunagba’s claim that the Supreme Court recognized Sunday Udeh-Okoye as the PDP’s National Secretary. Instead, Damagum stated that the Supreme Court described Udeh-Okoye as an “impostor”.Damagum expressed concern over Ologunagba’s recent actions, which he believes undermine the National Working Committee’s authority by taking contradictory stances against its collective decisions. This move highlights the deepening internal conflicts within the PDP.
