Omar Crushes Primary, Eyes Fourth Term

​Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar secured a resounding victory in the Democratic primary for the state’s fifth congressional district, capturing over 80% of the vote and clearing a major path toward her fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives.

​Despite facing four challengers—including former federal prosecutor Julie Trang Le and probation officer Latonya T. Reeves—Omar dominated the ballot with more than 122,000 votes, vastly outpacing her opponents as Le finished second with 6.7% and Reeves followed with 6%.
