Abeokuta, Ogun State – Ogun State officially launched the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Digital Innovation Park in Abeokuta today, marking a monumental step towards establishing the state as a leading hub for digital transformation, innovation, and youth empowerment across Nigeria and beyond. This state-of-the-art facility, the first of its kind in Southern Nigeria, promises to be a catalyst for technological advancement and economic growth.
The commissioning ceremony, held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, saw the unveiling of a center designed to foster skills development, tech entrepreneurship, and robust job creation, directly addressing the critical need to bridge the gap between burgeoning talent and abundant opportunity.
“This facility is more than just a building; it is a symbol of progress, a platform for opportunity, and a reflection of our unwavering commitment to equipping our people, especially our youth, with the tools they need to thrive in the global digital economy,” stated a representative from the Ogun State government during the event.

The NCC Digital Innovation Park is equipped with high-capacity computer labs, advanced simulation rooms, collaborative workspaces, and incubation centers to nurture indigenous innovations.

It will offer cutting-edge training in critical areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and software development. The park also aims to forge strategic partnerships with local startups and global tech firms, thereby expanding the horizons of possibility for Ogun State’s digital ecosystem.
This landmark achievement is a testament to the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whose “Renewed Hope Agenda” continues to inspire transformative change across various sectors. Deep appreciation was also extended to the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, and the Nigerian Communications Commission for their pivotal role in transforming this ambitious dream into a tangible reality.

The establishment of this Digital Innovation Park aligns seamlessly with Ogun State’s “Building Our Future Together” vision, solidifying its position as a launchpad for Africa’s digital future. The state has consistently shown a commitment to digital transformation, as evidenced by initiatives like free tech empowerment programs at the Ogun Tech Hub, the Ogun State Farmer Information Management System (OGFIMS) leveraging digital tools for agriculture, and the Gateway Skills Programme aimed at empowering 100,000 SMEs and youth with digital marketing skills.
With the NCC Digital Innovation Park now operational, Ogun State is poised to unlock immense potential, driving innovation and creating a vibrant digital economy for all its citizens. The future, indeed, is now.
