The Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, has graciously approved the conduct of the Compulsory Confirmation/Promotion examination for Public/Civil Servants in the State. This move is aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in the state’s civil service.
The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, oversaw the conduct of the December edition of the Compulsory Confirmation/Promotion examination for Public/Civil Servants in the State. The examination was held at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, and was attended by top government officials, including the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Establishment and Training, and the Rector of Mapoly .
The Compulsory Confirmation/Promotion examination is a statutory requirement for career progression in the public service. It is designed to test the knowledge of officers on the rudiments of service and their ability to cope with official engagements and tasks.
The examination is part of the state government’s efforts to digitalize its operations and improve service delivery to the citizenry. It is also in line with the federal government’s directive that public servants must pass the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Confirmation and Promotion (COMPRO) Examination before they can be confirmed in the public service.
