The Elegant Nurses Forum (ENF) has formally petitioned authorities to launch a comprehensive investigation into the operations of a clinic in Ilese-Ijebu, Ogun State, amid grave allegations of medical malpractice, identity fraud, and the exploitation of trainees.
The forum has leveled serious accusations against Mr. Williams Olugbenro—locally known as “Dr. Williams”—the proprietor of Omi-Iye Trado-Bone and Community Health Services Clinic. According to a statement released by the ENF’s National Coordinator, Nurse Thomas Abiodun Olamide, the clinic is allegedly at the center of a dangerous web of illegal activities that jeopardize public safety.
Serious Allegations of Malpractice and Abuse
The ENF contends that Olugbenro has been operating without the requisite medical qualifications, masquerading as a medical doctor to treat patients for complex conditions, including those requiring specialized obstetric and gynaecological interventions. Furthermore, the organization alleges that the facility has been conducting unauthorized training programs, instructing unqualified individuals to act as nurses despite their lack of formal clinical education or professional licensing.
Beyond these clinical concerns, the petition highlights allegations of severe ethical breaches, including claims from former trainees regarding systemic sexual exploitation, harassment, and criminal intimidation.
A Call for Urgent Intervention
The ENF emphasizes that these practices pose an immediate threat to the community, citing the high risk of misdiagnosis, improper medication, and avoidable complications, including maternal and infant mortality. The group asserts that such unchecked activities not only endanger lives but also erode public confidence in the integrity of the state’s licensed healthcare system.

In their formal demands, the nurses are urging the Ogun State Commissioner for Health to mobilize the State Anti-Quackery Committee to conduct an immediate audit of the clinic’s registration, services, and the proprietor’s credentials. Simultaneously, the forum has called upon the Commissioner of Police to initiate a criminal inquiry into the reported allegations of harassment and sexual exploitation.
The ENF remains firm in its stance, calling for the immediate closure of the facility and the prosecution of any individuals found to be impersonating medical professionals.
