
In a move aimed at bolstering public safety and strengthening law enforcement in Ondo State, CP Felix Ohagwu has officially assumed office as the 47th Commissioner of Police of the state.
He succeeds CP Adebowale Lawal, following strategic redeployments by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
A seasoned officer with over three decades of experience in operational, investigative, and administrative roles nationwide, CP Ohagwu brings a wealth of expertise in crime prevention, intelligence-led policing, and public safety management.
Upon his swearing-in, he pledged to consolidate existing security structures while prioritizing the protection of lives and property across the state.
Addressing residents, the new Commissioner affirmed his commitment to proactive policing, robust intelligence gathering, community engagement, and strategic collaborations with other security agencies.
He emphasized that transparency, accountability, respect for human rights, and professionalism would guide the Command’s operations under his leadership.
CP Ohagwu also commended his predecessor for his dedication and contributions to maintaining peace and stability in Ondo State, while expressing gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police for entrusting him with the position.
