Missing Ondo Woman Found in Hotel Room with Man

​AKURE — The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed that Mrs. Tilewa Olatunde Funke, a 42-year-old married woman previously declared missing, has been located unharmed. In a twist that has sparked significant public discussion, she was discovered at a hotel in Ugbe-Akoko in the company of 55-year-old Isa Alaba.

​The discovery follows an intensive search operation launched after Mrs. Funke’s family reported her missing. She had reportedly left her home in Ilara-Mokin for Akure on Tuesday, but when she failed to return or establish contact, fears of a possible abduction began to circulate within the community and on social media.

​The State Police Public Relations Officer addressed the media today, clarifying that the incident was not a kidnapping. Investigations revealed that Mrs. Funke traveled to the location of her own volition.

​”We can confirm that Mrs. Tilewa Olatunde Funke was traced to a hotel room in Ugbe-Akoko,” the police statement read. “Our findings indicate she left her residence voluntarily. There was no abduction involved in this case.”
