OBASA TAKES APC MOBILISATION TO AGEGE

Former Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has called on voters in Agege to support the All Progressives Congress and its candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

Obasa made the call at a mega rally held at Amoo Field, Orile Agege, where he appeared as the APC candidate for the Agege Federal Constituency. He urged supporters to take the party’s campaign to households and communities through door-to-door mobilisation.

“Let us join hands and make sure we deliver. It is not just about victory; we must surpass our previous votes,” Obasa told the gathering.

“We have the numbers, and we will pour it into the APC.”

Obasa also urged the crowd to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, alongside other APC candidates.

Reports of the rally said he also mentioned Senator Idiat Adebule and urged voters to support the party’s candidates across the ballot.

‘NOBODY CAN FORCE ANYONE ON THE PEOPLE’

Obasa told the gathering that political participation should involve engagement with voters rather than the imposition of candidates.

“Nobody can force anyone on the people,” he said.

He also described Agege as a strong political base for the APC and called for the constituency’s previous support to be converted into an even larger vote in the coming election.

The rally formed part of the APC’s early mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

ValidViewNetwork reports that Obasa’s appeal was directed at increasing grassroots mobilisation for the APC and its candidates, while the actual electoral choices of voters will ultimately be determined at the poll.

The development reflects the early positioning of political parties and candidates ahead of 2027, with campaign organisations increasingly focusing on ward-level and door-to-door mobilisation.
